1000 Local Links for Platform!
Platform's Local Links audience development initiative now boasts over 1000 members. The Local Links special discount membership card - introduced when the venue opened two years ago - is available to people who live within the Glasgow East community planning area. Each membership is allocated to a household which makes it easier, and potentially more affordable, for families and individuals to attend Platform on a regular basis.
With Local Links ticket sales making up over 40% of the venue's total sales last year, the scheme is considered to be pivotal in Platform’s success at attracting and nurturing audiences for the arts in Easterhouse and the wider East End.

First round victory
Herald reader Walter Jamieson was at Macbeth at the Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh last Saturday evening when, early in the play, the Thane of Ross reports to Duncan the outcome of the bloody battle between the Scots and the kings of Norway, concluding: “The Victory fell to us!” Walter wondered how many in the audience were actually thinking of the football that day and were musing “If only”.

Don't forget, C21 News is for you, about you and written by you! We want to hear what you've got to say about what's going on with you and your colleagues at your venue or organisation.
