GGA - Planning for the next 3 years
We're meeting Members individually over the coming weeks to hear their thoughts on our progress to date and, crucially, to shape our thinking and planning from now until 2010.
National Youth Orchestras of Scotland (NYOS)
Before advising on development and e-marketing strategies, we're providing NYOS with a comprehensive evaluation of its audiences.
Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA)
Results from audience analysis we completed with CCA as part of a previous consultancy project are being cross-referenced with data that has been gathered over recent months at the venue to inform long term planning.
Scottish Dance Theatre (SDT)
SDT has received great feedback from its supporters over the years. GGA consultancy days this year are being utilised to assess audience comments, which have been gathered through questionnaire research and recent box office sales data.
ArtsPasses at the ready!
Check out this month's edition of C21 News... for all the latest service industry news and ArtsPass deals on offer to front of house, marketing and box office staff.
Unlocking the door to the network...
We're adding a new section to the GGA website later this month entitled 'Through the Keyhole' where you will be able to access 'key' audience development contacts in Scotland and the UK and see who we are collaborating with in the extended network.
From Mac to McK!
The GGA team danced into
the wee small hours the other
week as we celebrated our Kirsty's
nuptials to new husband Stuart.
I'm sure you'll join us in wishing
Mr and Mrs McKenzie many
years of wedded bliss!

Sony and ENO
Sony, which makes the PlayStation, is planning to plough nearly £1m into the British arts scene starting with English National Opera. A collaboration between the two companies entails a sponsorship of a production of Puccini's La Bohème and the installation of a PlayStation 3 in the foyer of the London Coliseum. The show itself is to be supported by 'interactive programs' (including a website showing life backstage at ENO) to attract the 'PlayStation generation'. Sony is said to be keen to bolster its highbrow credentials and to start promoting its machines as learning tools in UK schools.
